    Licensed Psycotherapist

Tracey Cleantis is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, psychodynamic psychotherapist and writer. Tracey holds a Master's Degree from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Counseling Psychology. Currently, she practices in Valencia and La Crescenta, CA. She works with patients with a wide range of issues, and especially with patients with eating disorders and the stresses and issues that come from dealing with infertility.

Tracey writes from both sides of the couch, providing her readers with real world applications of psychological theories; at the same time, she frankly and openly shares insights from her own journey. Her blog, La Belette Rouge is rated one of the top 10 psychology and memoir blogs by NetworkedBlogs.com. In addition to La Belette Rouge, Tracey writes "Freudian Sip," a column at Psychology Today, and is a regular contributor for the Huffington Post. Tracey has published essays and fiction for various publications and her writing appears in Jamie Cat Callan's Bonjour, Happiness!. She has been featured on Fox News as an expert on the things NOT to say to someone who can't conceive and in Psychologies Magazine, Redbook, Yahoo News, Salon.com, Forest and Bluff and Sheridan Road.

Tracey spent five grueling years and over $100,000 trying to conceive and she got out of it, not a child, but a box filled with receipts and some serious insight on how to have a happily-ever-after even when you are childless-not-by-choice. She is presently at work birthing a book about how to survive the disappointment of dreams that don't materialize and how to be happy in spite of such.
