BOOK BIOMy book explores the treatments of infertility; IUI, IVF, but our fight to have a child. My husband and I only wanted what many couples do - a child. For years we attempted to get pregnant naturally with disheartening results. Reluctantly, we sought out help through fertility doctors and continued to push to add a child to our family. Disappointment after disappointment led us to almost give up, yet we kept up the fight. My first pregnancy through IVF ended in a still birth yet we kept going. Our results were happy in the end; we now have a four year old son. I am a proud Mom and wouldn't change my experiences for the world! Infertility has its darkest moments, has its miracles and has made me stronger.
Every person going through infertility their results are not the same but the pain is there. Most couples suffer in silence as I did. I had my husband and therapist to open up to but other support is needed to go through this struggle. I continue to raise awareness about infertility as well as give hope to other couples. I am involved with online fertility support groups, email support and offer support through my website, my Facebook and Twitter pages to those couples that are struggling with infertility now.
I needed to tell my story to offer others that sense of hope through their journey. My book was self-therapy for me and now I hope that it sheds lights on the subject as well as give others the strength to move forward. My story is one of the many inspirational stories surrounding infertility. I feel that my story will inspire many men and woman to open up knowing they’re not alone!
