Dan Bucatinsky wrote, produced, and starred in indie romantic comedy All Over the Guy (Lionsgate). In 2003 he and partner Lisa Kudrow founded Is Or Isn't Entertainment, which produced the cult, Emmy-nominated HBO comedy The Comeback co-starring Bucatinsky as publicist, Billy Stanton. Their acclaimed docu-series Who Do You Think You Are? recently completed it's third successful season for NBC, marked by an Emmy nomination for Best Reality Series. In 2010 the company produced the original online web series "Web Therapy", in which Bucatinsky also stars. The series most recently garnered a 2012 Emmy Award nomination, and has won back-to-back Webby Awards in 2010 and 2011 for "Best Comedy Series" and "Best Individual Performance" for Lisa Kudrow. The series has just completed its second critically-acclaimed season in its groundbreaking half-hour format for Showtime.
Bucatinsky's autobiographical tales of parenthood, "Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight?" published by Simon & Schuster, arrived in bookstores June, 2012. As a writer/producer Bucatinsky is a Consulting Producer on the ninth season of Grey's Anatomy and has also Co-Executive Produced the NBC dramedy Lipstick Jungle.
As an actor, Dan appears on the new Shonda Rhimes series, Scandal. Television audiences will also remember him from Grey's Anatomy, In Plain Sight, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Weeds. Film roles include I Love Your Work, Under the Tuscan Sun, as well as Bounce and The Opposite of Sex, both directed by his husband, Web Therapy co-creator/director, Don Roos.
